The National Public Health Institute (INSP) on Tuesday reported that between February 3 and 9, 100 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 were reported in Romania, down 6.5% from the previous week.
According to INSP, 37 of the new cases were in reinfected patients who tested positive more than 90 days after the first infection.
Between February 3 and 9, one deaths was reported in a person infected with SARS-CoV-2.
So far, 69,252 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died in Romania.
As of this week, 3,582,745 cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection were recorded in the country.
Last week, 741 RT-PCR tests and 15,690 rapid antigen tests were performed. The positivity rate was 0.6%.
So far, 14,042,450 RT-PCR tests and 15,229,911 rapid antigen tests have been processed nationwide.
