Romania reports 400 new weekly cases of COVID-19, five deaths October 27 - November 2, 2025

The National Public Health Institute (INSP) has reported that 400 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 were registered in Romania between October 27 and November 2, down 47.6% from the previous week.

According to INSP, 123 of the new cases were in reinfected patients who tested positive more than 90 days after the first infection.

In the same week, five deaths were reported in people with COVID-19, all with comorbidities, with one death being reported more than a week after it occurred.

Also last week, 344 RT-PCR tests and 7,283 rapid antigen tests were performed.

The positivity rate was 5.2%, down 2.5% from the previous week.
