Romanian boxer Cristian "Hammer" Ciocan won the WBO European heavyweight title, after defeating German Michael Wallisch by KO, in a gala taking place on Saturday evening in Sporthalle in Hamburg.
Ciocan (aged 31) now has 24 wins (14 KOs) and 5 defeats (3 KOs) in his professional career.
The Romanian boxer from Galati thus recovered the title which he won back in 2012 and then again in 2015, managing to defend it twice.
Wallisch (aged 33) recorded the first defeat of his career, after 19 consecutive victories (12 KOs).
