Romania's Deputy Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu on Wednesday welcomed an official delegation headed by Hungary's Foreign Trade and Foreign Affairs Minister Peter Szijjarto at the Government House in Bucharest to discuss the major regional projects of common interest, including the Bulgaria - Romania - Hungary - Austria gas pipeline (BRUA). According to the Romanian Government, the subjects discusses at the meeting regarded prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation, with emphasis on the economic, energy and agriculture sectors.
The Romanian official highlighted the favorable context created by Romania's positive economic development of late and the opportunities offered by the major regional projects of common interest such as the Bulgaria - Romania - Hungary - Austria (BRUA) gas pipeline project. "There are important prospects for cooperation between Romania and Hungary as neighbouring countries and members of the European Union and NATO. It is an opportunity that we can capitalise on to the benefit of both countries," said Ciolacu. Other topics discussed were strengthening diplomatic ties and cultural cooperation.
