Romania's Copil advances to Bratislava challenger men's singles quarter-finals

Romanian tennis player Marius Copil in Thursday advanced to the quarter-finals of the 106,000-euro Bratislava challenger tournament in Slovakia, after defeating Slovakian Lukas Klein 6-4 7-5. 

Fourth-seeded Copil, 27, world number 91, prevailed in just 66 minutes over a 19-year-old opponent, world number 630. 

Copil has won 3,090 euros and 30 ATP singles points, and his next opponent will be either Polish Kamil Majchrzak, 21, world number 223, or Slovakian Andrej Martin, 28, world number 163. 

In the last year's edition, Copil played the final, being defeated by Slovakian Norbert Gombos 7-6 (8) 4-6 6-3. AGERPRES .
