Romania's team qualifies for 2018 CEV U17 Volleyball European Championship-Women

Romania's team defeated Belgium's team with a score of 3-1 (23-25, 25-22, 25-19, 25-19), on Sunday, in the 2nd round of Pool A of the 2018 CEV U17 Volleyball European Championship - Women, that took place at Olimpia Sports Hall of Ploiesti and qualified for the final tournament. 

In what looked liked a true final of Pool A, Romania managed to defeat Belgium's team after almost two hours of playing (one hour and 57 minutes). 

Romania's best players were Alexia Ioana Carutasu scoring 18 points, Florina Isabela Murariu with 17 points and Maria Dumitrescu with 14 points. Pauline Martin and Caitlin van de Perre scored for Belgium 19 points and 15 points, respectively. 

In the other match of the day Switzerland prevailed over Sweden, with a score of 3-0. 

Romania ranks first with 9 points, followed by Belgium with 6 points and Switzerland with 3 points, while Sweden ranks 4th with 0 points. 

The winners of the eight qualifying groups, as well as the best three teams ranking 2nd will qualify for the final tournament, which is scheduled to take place in Bulgaria, between 13 and 12 April.
