The military parade organized in Bucharest on the occasion of Romania's National Day takes place on Monday, starting at 11:00 am, in Arc de Triomphe Square.
Over 2,900 military personnel and specialists from the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Romanian Intelligence Service, the Special Telecommunications Service and the National Penitentiary Administration, with 220 technical means, of which 60 in static exhibition, and 45 aircraft, will participate in the event.
According to the Ministry of National Defense, 240 foreign soldiers will also march in the military parade, within detachments from France, North Macedonia, the Republic of Moldova, Poland, Portugal, Spain, the USA, as well as soldiers from allied countries contributing to NATO structures on Romanian territory.
At the same time, 21 gun salutes will be fired during the singing of the National Anthem, in the southeast area of ??King Michael I Park, according to military tradition on National Day.
An exhibition of military equipment belonging to the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be located in the area of the Arc de Triomphe in Bucharest, which will be open to the public after the official ceremony, until 2:30 p.m.
On December 1, the National Flag will be flown in all military institutions in the country, and the Great Banner will be raised aboard sea and river vessels.
Throughout the country, representatives of the Romanian Army will participate, at the request and with the support of local authorities, in the preparation, organization and conduct of military and religious ceremonies.
Military personnel in theaters of operations and on foreign missions will participate in specific ceremonies and activities organized on the occasion of National Day.
December 1, 2025 marks 107 years since the Union of Transylvania, Banat, Crisana and Maramures with Romania.
In 1990, on July 27, Parliament decided that December 1st would become Romania's National Day.
