The Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, Sorin Grindeanu, discussed with his Polish counterpart, Andrzej Adamczyk, about the continuity of shared actions and cooperation for suspending or cancelling measures with negative impact from the Mobility I package, including in the context of the military crisis in Ukraine, but also about the southeastern port of Constanta, which can receive and operate the majority of cargo that come from or are going to the Gdansk port and other Polish ports.

According to Grindeanu's Facebook post, he had a bilateral meeting in Warsaw with the Polish Minister of Infrastructure, Andrzej Adamczyk, Agerpres.ro informs.

"I congratulated the proposal of introducing TEN-T network in the review package for the new inter-modal corridor (road and train) of the Baltic Sea - Black Sea and the Aegean Sea. This proposal picked up the main alignment of the Via Carpatia project, on the road mode and the Rail2Sea for the military and civilian rail mode. The Via Carpatia and Rail2Sea projects are listed in the Investment Program for developing transport infrastructure 2021-2030 and in Romania's National Recovery and Resilience plan (PNRR). I also discussed about the new inter-modal branch included in the TEN-T network in Romania. On the road mode the alignment is: Oradea - Cluj Napoca - Turda - Sibiu - Pitesti. On the passenger rail mode we are talking about the alignment of Oradea - Cluj Napoca - Turda - Teius - Sighisoara - Brasov - Bucharest - Constanta within the Baltic Corridor - Black Sea - Aegean Sea," the head of transports noted.

Minister Sorin Grindeanu also highlighted the cooperation potential with the Port of Constanta, which "as a multi-modal port, Constanta port can receive and operate most of the types of cargo that either come from or going to Gdansk and other Polish ports".
