The Romanian Diplomatic Institute and the Energy Policy Group (EPG) are organizing, on Thursday, the second edition of the event "Climate Diplomacy in Central and Eastern Europe: Regional Dialogue in Preparation for COP30" in Bucharest.
"A decade after the adoption of the Paris Agreement, the year 2025 marks a defining moment in the global effort to combat climate change. With the submission of the next cycle of nationally determined contributions (NDC 3.0) and the approach of COP30, climate diplomacy becomes essential in increasing ambition and strengthening international cooperation. For Central and Eastern Europe, this context brings both challenges and opportunities for affirmation in the global climate governance architecture," emphasise the organizers.
The event's agenda includes speakers, among others: Diana Buzoianu - Minister of Environment, Waters and Forests, Vlad Nistor - Director General of the Romanian Diplomatic Institute, Radu Dudau - President of EPG, Alexandru Avram - Secretary General of the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests, Tatiana Iosiper - Head of Service at the National Energy Regulatory Authority, and Mihaela Frasineanu - State Counselor with the Prime Minister's Chancellery.
