The exchange of opinions benefited from the presence of the new ambassadors of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine in Washington, Vladislav Kulminski and Olga Stefanyshyna, respectively.

Among the members of the US Congress who spoke at the event were Joe Wilson, co-chair of the Helsinki Commission and the Congressional Ukraine Caucus, Mike Turner and Tom Suozzi, co-chairs of the Congressional Romania Caucus, Deborah Ross, co-chair of the Congressional Moldova Caucus, and William Keating, vice chairman of the Subcommittee on Europe of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

The Romanian Ambassador to the United States, Andrei Muraru, underscored that Romania will continue to stand by the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine through political and diplomatic support, as well as through multidimensional assistance. "We strongly support the strategic objectives of the two countries for European integration, economic development and energy security," Muraru stated, expressing his confidence that the two countries will continue to benefit from strong transatlantic coordination.

The members of the Congress present at the discussions emphasised the importance of Romania as a trusted partner of the United States in Eastern Europe and the Black Sea, addressed the multiple crises generated by Russia's aggression against Ukraine - in the security, energy and humanitarian fields - in search of the most appropriate ways of future support from the United States for the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.
