Romanian poultry products could soon enter the Vietnamese market, one of the largest in Asia, the National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA) announced on Friday.
"Based on the bilateral cooperation agreements in animal health and food safety, established by the ANSVSA through President Alexandru Bociu, a delegation of specialists from the Department of Animal Health and Production of Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Environment arrived in Romania on 21 November 2025, with the clear mission of auditing the procedures, workflows and operational model of the veterinary and food safety system in our country," the ANSVSA release mentioned.
Thus, poultry operators from Alba, Gorj and Valcea counties were selected for auditing.
The authority said the mission concluded successfully on Friday and announced that Romania is very close to the point where "Romanian poultry products will be able to be exported to one of the largest markets in Asia: Vietnam."
"I would like to thank the entire ANSVSA team for their involvement in this project. The success of the mission represents an important achievement, as it proves once again that Romania's veterinary and food safety system is among the most efficient in Europe, and that poultry production is done at the highest standards," ANSVSA President Alexandru Bociu said, according to the release.
