Public officials and representatives of the capital market, guarantee funds and companies participate today in a new edition of the Romanian Sustainability Forum event.

According to the organisers, Financial Intelligence, the agenda of the debate will include: the role of public policies and regulations in accelerating the transition to a low-CO2 economy. The event will discuss how public policies and tax regulations boost the transition, including through renewable energy subsidy programmes, incentives for the circular economy and tax incentives for Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) investment.

The event also discusses strategies for the energy transition. Reference will be made to government strategies for achieving climate neutrality objectives, including a transition to renewable sources, energy efficiency and emission reduction.

It will also discuss sustainability in the public sector and the contribution of state bodies to the green transition, mainly the integration of climate risks into financial and supervisory strategies: how financial establishments in Romania align with European requirements on climate risks and ESG reporting.
