Romanians paid over 250 million RON in charges and taxes in the first four months of this year through SelfPay payment terminals, with 1.5 million such payments being processed, according to the data sent by the company on Tuesday.
SelfPay operates in Romania more than 11,000 payment terminals located in more than 2,000 locations.
Currently, SelfPay offers users the opportunity to pay 63 types of taxes and fees (compared to only 47 at the end of April 2023), from road tax to passport issuance fees. To these are added various non-debit fees and other taxes and fees to 57 local public institutions (compared to 41 at the end of April 2023). In total, today it offers users the possibility to pay for over 300 services.
SelfPay owns the largest network of self-service terminals in Romania, with over 11,000 payment terminals and more than 300 available services. In 2021, it took the first step at the Bucharest Stock Exchange: bonds worth three million euros, issued in a private placement, were listed and support the development of the network of SelfPay Payment Stations at national and international level. The international network was launched in June 2022 in Ireland, then in France. SelfPay is a member of the Romanian Fintech Association.
