Romanian-Finnish duo Victor Cornea/Patrik Niklas-Salminen on Friday advanced to the men's doubles final at the Crete Challenger 4 tennis tournament at Hersonissos, Greece, prize money EUR 54,000, after defeating the Greeks Petros Tsitsipas/Stefanos Sakellaridis 7-5 6-4, agerpres reports.
It took the top seed an hour and 35 minutes to prevail.
Cornea and his partner secured EUR 1,560 and 30 WTA doubles points.
Cornea and Niklas-Salminen defeated a brother of the famous Stefanos Tsitsipas in the previous round, as they defeated the Greek-French duo Pavlos Tsitsipas/Enzo Wallart 6-7 (5/7) 6-3, 10-5.
In the final, the Romanian-Finnish duo will play Mats Rosenkranz (Germany) / Harry Wendelken (Great Britain).
