Romanian-Spanish duo Victor Cornea/Sergio Martos Gornes on Thursday advanced to the men's doubles semifinals of the Play In Challenger tournament in Lille, France, total commitments USD 181,250, on Thursday after the couple Romain Arneodo (Monaco)/Manuel Guinard (France) withdrew.
N.2 Arneodo-Guinard retired for 42 minutes at the end of the first set, won 7-5 by Cornea and Martos Gornes.
For their performance so far, the Romanian-Spanish double won EUR 3,470 euros and 45 ATP doubles points.
In the semifinals, Cornea and his partner will face N.3 Poles Karol Drzewiecki and Piotr Matuszewski.
