Romanian-Italian duo Jaqueline Cristian/Angelica Moratelli on Thursday lost to Katarzyna Piter (Poland)/Mayar Sherif (Egypt), 7-6 (7/3) 6-4, in the women's doubles quarterfinals of the Merida Open WTA 500 tennis tournament in Merida, Mexico, total commitment USD 1,064,510.
Cristian and Moratelli, this month's Transylvania Open finalists, lasted one hour and 47 minutes.
