The interim president of Romania, Ilie Bolojan, is expected on Saturday on an official visit to the Republic of Moldova, where he is scheduled to meet with the Moldovan president Maia Sandu, a press release from the presidency in Chisinau transmitted to Agerpres informs.
The meeting will reconfirm the special relationship between the Republic of Moldova and Romania, based on a community of language, history and culture, and will underline the common commitment to deepen bilateral cooperation for the benefit of citizens on both banks of the Prut, according to the cited document.
At the end of the discussions, Maia Sandu and Ilie Bolojan will hold a press conference, announced for 11:30, the press release also reads.
