Just a little over 35,000 motor vehicles were manufactured in Romania in January 2022, down almost 8.5% y-o-y, according to data with the Romanian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association ( ACAROM) published on Monday.
"In January 2022, 35,171 vehicles were manufactured in Romania, down 8.48% from the same period last year. Of these, 15,816 units were made at the Dacia Plant in Mioveni, while 19,355 units came out of the gate of the Ford factory in Craiova."
According to the same data, Romania's January 2021 motor vehicle output was 38,431, down 10.71% from January 2020, when the output was 43,043 items. At that time, 19,809 units were produced at the Dacia Plant in Mioveni, and 18,622 units at the Ford Plant in Craiova.
On the other hand, data with the Driving Licences and Vehicle Registration Directorate (DRPCIV) show that in the first month of 2022, a number of 2,765 new Dacia cars were registered nationwide, up 202.5% from the 914 in the same period of 2021, Agerpres informs.
