Senate President Mircea Abrudean expressed confidence Monday that the newly appointed presidential advisors will perform well, noting that President Nicusor Dan's trust in them reflects proper assessment and evaluation.
"I know Mr Naumescu well from Cluj. He was even my professor. I have an extraordinary opinion of him. I know many of the others on the list, I have heard of them, but I do not make evaluations myself. That is the president's responsibility, and since he has entrusted them, it means he has properly analysed and assessed them. I am glad there is a team at the Presidential Administration with whom we will work in the coming period, and I am convinced we will achieve very good results together," Abrudean said when asked about the appointment of the new presidential advisors.
On Monday, President Nicusor Dan announced the appointment of the team of presidential and state advisors within the Presidential Administration.
"These appointments reflect the president's commitment to a professional and efficient administration, fully aligned with the priorities of the presidential mandate. In accordance with current legislation, the advisors exercise their duties with legality, responsibility, professionalism and loyalty to the president," the Presidential Administration said in a press release sent to AGERPRES.
