Senate President Calin Popescu Tariceanu on Wednesday stated that the Dutch Ambassador in Romania has been trying to teach him what Romania should do in the Justice field, so that he told his Dutch counterpart about "the unacceptable behavior as an Ambassador" of the first.

"When talking to me, for instance, instead of daring to propose Mrs. Kovesi, the Dutch Ambassador was trying to teach me how to act and what to do in the Justice field, what is right and what is wrong. After a short while since we had that conversation, during which I set the records straight with him, I told my Dutch counterpart about the unacceptable behavior of the Ambassador and that he broke every diplomatic rule, which is not normal. The consequence was that in two months' time he was recalled to The Netherlands. There are ways to set the records straight with those who show no respect for Romania as a sovereign country. But unfortunately there are things that happened in Romania because the Romanian authorities allowed those people to interfere in the type of problems that Titus Corlatean was mentioning," Tariceanu told Romania TV private broadcasting station.

He also added that Romania is the single country in Europe where things like this happen.

Former Minister of Justice Titus Corlatean on Wednesday stated that during his term in office there were some pressures from the Ambassadors of The Netherlands and the US related to who should be appointed "in a top office" in the judiciary system.
