Prime Minister-designate Siegfried Muresan told PSD (Social Democratic Party) leader Sorin Grindeanu on Saturday that he would not resign his mandate and would go before Parliament with his proposed government team, Agerpres reports.
'Mr Grindeanu is wasting his time asking me every day to give up my mandate. If I have said once that I will not resign it, then I will not resign it. I do what I say: we are going to a vote in the Romanian Parliament. I look forward to presenting the people with my vision for Romania,' he said.
Prime Minister-designate Siegfried Muresan submitted the government programme and list of ministers to Parliament on Saturday morning, with hearings and the plenary vote scheduled to take place at the beginning of next week.
