Romanian tennis player Simona Halep, the world's number one, said on Thursday that maybe her third Grand Slam final, which she will play on Saturday at the Australian Open, will be with luck.

"I feel great. I feel nice that it's happening. I play another final. It's the third one (of Grand Slam after two at Roland Garros). Maybe [it] is with luck. We'll see Saturday," Halep told the press conference after the match won by 6-3, 4-6, 9-7 in the semifinal versus German Angelique Kerber.

"I feel happy. I feel proud that I could stay there and fight till the end. So it's a nice feeling. I'm looking forward for the last match of this tournament," Halep said.

The Romanian also commented on her aggressive style in this match, in which she had 50 winners (28 in the decisive set): "Many, isn't it? My brother just wrote to me. I cannot believe it. I think it's the first time. I hope it will not be the last.

''I was aggressive. I had this in me and I tried to quickly finish the points but it's not that easy with her [Kerber]. She moves very well," added the Romanian.

Halep also referred to the difficult time she had in the third set, when Kerber had two match balls: "I tried to hit the ball, not to be scared that she has two match balls. I think I played those balls very well. I was not afraid I would lose, maybe because of that ... I won those balls, and then I regained the confidence that I can beat her."

In the final, Halep will face Danish Caroline Wozniacki. The stakes are double in Saturday's match, with one of the players to win her first Grand Slam title.
