Simple motion against Tourism Minister started

Debate on the simple motion against Minister of Tourism Bogdan Trif called "Tourism in Romania: An incompetent minister and a country without a brand" started on Monday in the plenary sitting of the Senate.

The text of the motion is to be presented by Senator of the National Liberal Party (PNL) Mircea Cazan.

The 35 Senators from the PNL and the Save Romania Union (USR), who signed the motion demanding the resignation of Trif for they say his activity is marked by "a total lack of transparence" and the budgetary execution of the Ministry of Tourism stops in August 2017.

According to them, "Romania ranks among the last positions in the European Union in terms of tourism indicators," with our country being "the only one in Central and Eastern Europe with a deficit in the balance of payments for the tourism sector."
