Romania and China have a special relationship that contributes to the development of the partnership between the two countries, on Tuesday said the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Florin Iordache.
"Between our nations there is a special traditional relationship, built on the solid foundation of respect, mutual understanding and appreciation, as of a steadfast friendship. The Romanian-Chinese partnership has very promising and diversified perspectives both on at institutional level and at the inter-human strong bonds' level and despite the geographic distance between us, we have obvious common affinities," Iordache stated in a speech he delivered at the reception celebrating the National Day of the People's Republic of China, organized at the China Embassy in Bucharest.
China Ambassador to Romania, Xu Feihong underlined that Romania and China are both in a period of rapid development.
He also appreciated that the project regarding the construction of the Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant's reactors 3 and 4, which a Chinese company participates in, was declared a priority at the Romania's Supreme Council for National Defence.
