A sacred music concert titled "Jesus Christus, Dominus Noster" will take place on Friday at 8:00 p.m. in the Saint Joseph Cathedral in Bucharest, said Agerpres.
According to a press release from the Office for Ecclesiastical Cultural Assets and Heritage of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Bucharest, sent to AGERPRES, the concert will be performed by the "Anima" Orchestra and Choir of Saint Joseph Cathedral in Bucharest, conducted by principal conductor Catalin Toropoc. The event marks the 150th anniversary of the blessing of the cathedral's foundation stone.
The programme includes: Jubilee Overture by C.M. von Weber, Op. 59, Concertone in C major, K190/186E by W.A. Mozart, Quattro pezzi sacri by G. Verdi.
Admission is free, subject to available seating.
The event is organised with the support of the Office for Ecclesiastical Cultural Assets and Heritage of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Bucharest and the State Secretariat for Religious Affairs.
