Stock market opens amid mixed developments

The stock indices recorded a mixed developments at the start of Monday's trading session at the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), and the turnover amounted to 4.95 million lei (995,150 euro), after 35 minutes of trading.

The main index BET, which shows the evolution of the 20 most liquid companies, registered a depreciation of 0.02%, while the BET-Plus index, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares of the BVB, registered a similar decrease.

In contrast, the broad blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, was up 0.09%, while the benchmark return for investment funds, BET-BK, was up 0.12%.

The BET-FI index of SIFs was up 1.62% and BET-NG, the index of 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, was up 0.02%.

According to BVB data, the biggest increases in share value were recorded by Infinity Capital Investments (+10.55%), Societatea de Constructii Napoca (+3.45%) and Socep (+1.74%).

On the other hand, Teraplast (-2.14%), CONPET (-2.03%) and Carbochim (-1.75%) shares were down.
