Stock market opens higher on Wednesday
The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Wednesday's trading session higher on all indices, with transactions of 5.299 million lei (1.066 million euros), carried out in the first 35 minutes from the start of trading, told Agerpres.
The main BET index, which shows the evolution of the 20 most liquid companies, appreciated 0.32%, and the BET-Plus index, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, opened 0.33% higher.
The BET-XT blue-chip broad index of the 25 most liquid stocks was also up 0.29%, while the benchmark for investment fund returns, BET-BK, rose 0.10%.
The SIF's BET-FI index appreciated 0.19%, and BET-NG, the index of 10 energy and utilities companies, gained 0.30%.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 companies representative of the AeRO market, was up 0.81%.
According to BVB information, the largest increases in share value were recorded by Chimcomplex SA Borzesti (+2.59%), Cemacon (+1.56%) and Socep (+1.38%).
On the other hand, Rompetrol Well Services (-2.26%), Purcari Wineries Public Company Limited (-1.75%) and Digi Communication NV (-1.12%) were down.
