Romanian tennis player Gabriela Ruse qualified on Friday for the semifinals of the ITF tournament in Trnava (Slovakia), with a total prize pool of 60,000 dollars, after defeating Ukrainian Anastasia Soboleva 6-3, 6-1.
Ruse (28 years old, no. 101 WTA), the second seed, won after an hour and 16 minutes of play, in her first duel with Soboleva (21 years old, no. 267 WTA).
In the penultimate act, Gabriela Ruse will face Belarusian Aliona Falei (21 years old, no. 335 WTA), who came from the qualifiers and who eliminated Latvian Anastasija Sevastova in the quarterfinals.
