The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) indices held steady or posted modest gains on Monday, with total trading reaching RON 75.56 million (EUR 14.85 million).
The main BET index, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, remained unchanged, closing at 21,536.65 points. A similar pattern was observed for the BET-Plus index, which reflects the performance of the 43 most liquid stocks on the exchange.
The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, covering the 25 most liquid titles, rose by 0.27%, while the BET-FI index for financial investment companies gained 2.78% compared to the previous day.
Meanwhile, the BET-BK index, a benchmark for investment fund returns, closed up 0.38%, and BET-NG, which tracks ten energy and utility companies, rose by 0.27%.
The BET AeRO index, representing 20 key companies listed on the AeRO market, recorded an increase of 2.62%.
The most actively traded shares were Hidroelectrica, with transactions totalling RON 8.38 million, followed by Transelectrica at RON 7.13 million, and Banca Transilvania at RON 6.83 million.
The best-performing stocks were Armatura (+13.87%), Romcarbon (+11.44%), and Carbochim (+8.9%), while the largest declines were seen in Bittnet Systems (-6.27%), Sinteza (-3.52%), and Romcab (-2.37%).
