The Minister of Health: One solution would be to test possible COVID patients, treat them through family doctors

The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rafila, on Friday said, after a meeting with representatives of the National Society of Family Medicine, that the officials are working on a solution to the problems of family doctors, mentioning that, in principle, there will be a test package for patients who show symptoms of COVID-19 available with family doctors to detect the positive, and that also under consideration is the possibility of a package of minimal investigations to allow antiviral treatment.

The head of the National Society for Family Medicine, doctor Dina Mergeani, said that these tests will be performed by family doctors who want to get involved in this endeavor.

"We have agreed on the possibility - for colleagues who can and will - to test patients showing symptoms of COVID in their offices. There will be a package that the House or the Ministry will pay per testing, so that patients are not subject to additional costs.
