The number of registrations of natural and legal persons decreased in 2024 by 14.63%, compared to the previous year, down to 124,898 registrations, of which over 73% were LLCs, according to data centralized by the National Trade Register Office (ONRC), consulted by AGERPRES.
The most registrations were recorded in Bucharest Municipality, respectively 29,807 (-3.37%, compared to 2023) and in the counties of Ilfov - 7,592 (-4.02%), Cluj - 6,220 (-21.15%), Timis - 5,663 (-13.88%), Iasi - 4,824 (-15.17%) and Brasov - 4,593 (-10.40%).
At the opposite end of the scale, the lowest number of registrations was recorded last year in the counties of: Covasna - 582 (down 37.55% compared to 2023), Tulcea (743, -19.94%), Ialomita (775, -21.4%) and Teleorman (854, -23.48%).
In all counties, the number of registrations decreased in 2024, with the largest reductions being recorded in the counties of Covasna (-37.55%), Bistrita-Nasaud (minus 36.43%), Dâmbovita (-32.17) and Bihor (-30.45%)
According to the ONRC, the areas in which the most registrations were recorded are: wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (24,680, -11% compared to the previous year), transport and storage (16,391, +1%) and construction (12,576, -14%), Agerpres informs.
In December 2024, 7,973 individuals and legal entities were registered, most in Bucharest (2,301) and in Ilfov (572), Cluj (414) and Timis (356) counties.
