The Minister of Development, Public Works and Administration, Cseke Attila, declared on Monday, in Cluj-Napoca, that the transfer of prefectures from the Ministry of the Interior to the ministry he heads will be discussed during the reforms that will aim to make the central public administration more efficient.
"There will be discussions on this topic as well, when we discuss streamlining the central public administration. From the discussions we had regarding this package and having see what happened related to the fact that we did not have a very clear situation with the organizational charts and structures of local public administration authorities until July and we had to work with the Ministry of the Interior, we had this discussion on this possibility. We will discuss. The most important thing is that things be streamlined in terms of functionality. Functionality is the most important and quality in the functioning of state institutions. If, following this analysis, we consider that it is better for these structures to belong to the Ministry of Administration, we will come up with such a proposal. Of course, the colleagues from the Ministry of the Interior also have a point of view, but there was no specific discussion, because we did not reach the reorganizations in the central public administration, but I emphasize that we must get there", said Minister Cseke Attila.
