The turnover in the wholesale trade (excluding trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles) increased in the first eight months of 2018, in nominal terms, both in unadjusted terms by 9.2pct and in terms adjusted to the working days and seasonality by 8.8pct, compared to the similar period of 2017, according to data made public on Friday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS) according to Agerpres.
In nominal terms adjusted to the number of working days and seasonality, the 8.8pct increase was due to the increase in the wholesale trade in raw agricultural products and live animals (+ 22pct), the specialized wholesale trade of other products (+ 13.6pct), wholesale in other machinery and equipment (+ 11.5pct), non-food goods (+ 9.7pct), wholesale trade (+ 9.6pct), wholesale trade intermediation (+ 9.6pct), wholesale of IT equipment and telecommunications (+ 5.6pct) and wholesale in food, beverages and tobacco (+4.1pct).
