US Ambassador Klemm: Romania's contribution to NATO Resolute Support higher than UK's

Ambassador of the US in Bucharest Hans Klemm had a meeting in Resita, on Monday, with President of the Caras-Severin County Council Silviu Hurduzeu, Prefect Matei Lupu and Mayor of Resita city Ioan Popa, occasion on which he underscored that Romania is the 4th contributor to NATO's Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan, a contribution which is larger than the UK's. 

He said that he talked about strengthening ties between the US with western Romania, in respect to the economic activity, mentioning a possible collaboration in the defence area, and, also, through tourism and culture. He added there is a very big potential. He said that the County Council President started the discussions by saying that this is the most beautiful part of Romania. 

Furthermore, Klemm underlined that Romania is the 4th contributor of NATO Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan. 

He went on saying that Romania's role is currently very, very important. Romania is the 4th contributor to NATO's Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan. He added that Romania's contribution is higher than the UK's, and this is a mission that the US highly appreciates, where servicemen fight together, trying to bring stability in that country.
