Save Romania Union (USR) tabled a simple motion on Transport in the plenary sitting of the Chamber of Deputies.
"USR announces tabling a simple motion titled "Transport Ministry under PSD [Social Democratic Party, major at rule, ed.n.] is the anti-motorway ministry", signed by USR, PMP [People's Movement Party, ed.n.] and unaffiliated," deputy Catalin Drula declares.
The Chamber of Deputies' Permanent Bureau is due to establish the debate procedure.
"At the last meeting of the Transport Committee, on Thursday, in Sinaia, the Transport Minister said that when we have motor ways wages will increase and multinationals will leave. It is a hallucinatory statement coming from the minister of Transport who should be precisely the force pushing forward the projects for motorways and infrastructure. We have a genuine anti-motorway minister," Drula said in Parliament.
He said that all the three great motorway projects Iasi-Targu Mures, Comarnic-Brasov and Sibiu-Pitesti have been "destroyed and blocked" by minister Sova. "As regards all these projects, nothing has happened. Thursday's last statement proves a very serious mentality. For all these reasons we request his resignation, but, since I doubt he has the honour to make this gesture, we request his dismissal. There have been three Transport ministers until now, all weak, but Sova is a genuine disaster," Catalin Drula maintains.
