The volume of construction works increased, in the first seven months, as a gross series, by 12.2%, and as a series adjusted according to the number of working days and seasonality, by 10.7%, compared to the period January 1 - July 31, 2024, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INS), submitted to AGERPRES on Thursday.
According to the INS, the advance in construction works was generated by the increase recorded in capital repair works (+55%) and in new construction works (+9.3%). Maintenance and current repair works decreased by 0.3%.
In terms of construction objects, increases were recorded in engineering constructions (+16.3%), residential buildings (+9.7%) and non-residential buildings (+6.2%).
The volume of construction works increased, as a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, by 10.7%. Capital repair works and new construction works increased by 51.5% and 9.6%, respectively. Maintenance and current repair works decreased by 3.9%. By construction objects, increases were recorded in engineering constructions (+16.3%), residential buildings (+7.8%) and non-residential buildings (+3.9%).
According to the INS, the volume of construction works increased, in July 2025 compared to June 2025, as a gross series, by 27.2%, with a notable increase in capital repair works (+43%), maintenance and current repair works (+27.4%) and new construction works (+23.6%). By construction objects, increases occurred in residential buildings (+37.9%), non-residential buildings (+33.7%) and engineering constructions (+21.4%).
The volume of construction works increased, as a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, by 20.1%, with a notable increase in capital repair works (+38.8%), maintenance and current repair works (+27.2%) and new construction works (+19.3%). By construction objects, the volume of construction works increased in residential buildings (+30.7%), non-residential buildings (+30.2%) and engineering constructions (+16.4%).
Also, in July 2025 compared to July 2024, the volume of construction works, as a gross series, increased, in total, by 41.1%. By structural elements, increases were recorded in capital repair works (+67.4%), maintenance and current repair works (+41.1%) and in new construction works (+35.7%). By construction objects, increases were recorded in residential buildings (+50.8%), engineering constructions (+39.6%) and non-residential buildings (+38.5%).
As a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, the volume of construction works increased, overall, by 30.9%. By structural elements, the increase is evident in capital repair works (+60.9%), maintenance and current repairs works (+35.8%) and new construction works (+30.4%).
By construction objects, the volume of construction works increased in residential buildings (+47.6%), non-residential buildings (+36.1%) and engineering constructions (+34.0%).
