The National Energy System (SEN) is stabilized, all Petrobrazi Refinery installations are operating normally, and Group 6 Rovinari will be put back into production, the Minister of Energy, Bogdan Ivan announced on Wednesday on his Facebook account.
According to him, the Brazi power plant will be restarted as soon as the water flow, necessary for cooling, returns to safety parameters.
"We quickly stabilized the National Energy System and eliminated any risk for people and industry! We fully covered the temporary suspension of production at Brazi power plant, through market mechanisms. Together with the operators, we analyzed production and decided to use the available capacities from Oltenia and Hidroelectrica Energy Complexes, and the group at Paroseni power plant is ready to start", Ivan transmitted.
Thus, the resumption of production of Group 6 Rovinari was established, and the connection to the SEN will take place in a maximum of one hour. Coal stocks were also checked, which are over 553,000 tonnes at Oltenia Energy Complex.
"We confirmed with Hidroelectrica the level of reserves: over 71% in national accumulations, a very good value for this period. Today, we convened the National Energy Command to coordinate all these measures. We coordinated the intervention of the teams in the field to ensure the necessary water flow to the Petrobrazi Refinery. All the refinery's installations are operating normally. Today, we have 94 l/s ensured for Petrobrazi (the demand is 61 l/s) and an additional bypass, completed and functional, which we requested for any eventuality", the minister noted.
The minister assured that forecasts do not indicate weather phenomena that would lead to increased consumption during this period. A
