Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, the president of the National Liberal Party (PNL), announced that on Monday he had a working meeting with colleagues from several ministries in order to prepare a new request for payment of over 2.5 billion euros in grants from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), a request that would be submitted by the end of November.
"Today I had a meeting with colleagues from several ministries to prepare a new request for payment of over 2.5 billion euros in grants from the PNRR. We intend to submit it by the end of the month, an objective for which we must have met 60 conditions (milestones). Most of them have already been met. The remaining milestones in Health, Environment, Energy, Transport, and governance of state-owned companies are in the final phase of implementation. In the next two weeks, these conditions will also be finalized in government meetings," Bolojan wrote on his Facebook page on Monday evening.
The money will finance large infrastructure works, hospitals, and schools undergoing rehabilitation, the prime minister said.
