CS Rapid Bucuresti defeated the French team UFAB49 with a score of 86-79 (31-23, 24-23, 20-16, 11-17) on Wednesday evening in Angers, in a Group I match of the FIBA EuroCup women's basketball competition.
Rapid recorded their second consecutive win, after a match they controlled throughout and in which they led from start to finish.
Slovak player Miroslava Mistinova, with 33 points and 9 rebounds, was the architect of the victory. Other notable performances for Rapid came from Ana Ivan (18 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists) and Taylor Murray (17 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists).
The best players for the home side were Laura Mendez (21 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists), Marine Dursus (15 points, 4 assists), and Eve Mahoutou (14 points, 5 rebounds).
In the other group match, Movistar Estudiantes Madrid won away against Slovak side Piestanske Cajky, with a score of 64-52.
CS Rapid top the group with 4 points, followed by UFAB49 with 3 points, Movistar Estudiantes with 3 points, and Piestanske Cajky with 2 points.
Rapid will play their next match on 2 October in Madrid, against Movistar Estudiantes.
