Romania women's national basketball team defeated Cyprus score of 75-62 (20-14, 22-17, 11-10, 22-21), on Wednesday evening, in Limassol, in its first match in Group C of the first preliminary round of the European Championship - EuroBasket 2027.
The tricolors led from one end to the other, winning without emotion.
In the other match of the group, Poland defeated Slovakia 62-55, away.
Romania will also play Poland (November 15, away) and Slovakia (November 18, home) this month.
The top two teams in each group and the three best third-place teams (17 teams in total) will qualify for the second phase of the qualifiers.
