World Vision Romania is launching its Christmas campaign, "Kick Off Limits with a New Pair of Shoes", to raise funds for over 1,200 children in rural areas who will receive a new pair of shoes and a winter coat.
Additionally, more than 1,000 young people will have the chance to experience a live show for the first time.
According to a oress release from World Vision Romania sent to AGERPRES on Tuesday, winter in many Romanian villages means long journeys, cold weather, thin clothing, and old shoes. More than a quarter of rural children report that their families cannot even afford the bare necessities.
Through this campaign, World Vision Romania will support children in rural areas participating in the "Bread and Tomorrow" programme, providing not only shoes and coats but also the assurance that they will not have to give up school because of the cold. At the same time, adolescents from villages will be given the opportunity to attend an opera, cinema, or concert for the first time.
