The Young People's Party (POT) will go to the Cotroceni consultations with a mandate for peace, the president of the POT, Anamaria Gavrila announced on Tuesday.

"We will go with a delegation of five people. Our mandate is for peace. We have been talking about peace since the war began and I do not think that the issue of sending troops arises. First of all, this topic is much too early. We cannot talk about sending troops when peace has not already been negotiated and concluded. It seems a defiance to talk about sending troops when the negotiation is about peace", Anamaria Gavrila said in Parliament.

Interim President Ilie Bolojan invited on Wednesday to the Cotroceni Palace the presidents of the political parties represented in Parliament for consultations in order to prepare Romania's position at the extraordinary meeting of the European Council on March 6, which will take place in Brussels.
