As many as 2,387 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 were recorded in the last seven days in Romania, the 21 - 27 November period, the Health Ministry informs on Monday.
Of the new cases, 629 were in re-infected patients who tested positive more than 90 days after the first time they recovered from the disease.
- Hospitalisations -
As many as 603 people with COVID-19 are hospitalised at specialist care facilities across the country, 56 children included.
Out of the total number of hospitalised patients, 94 are in ICUs. Of the ICU patients, 77 are unvaccinated for COVID-19.
- Deaths -
23 deaths (10 men and 13 women) were recorded, from 40-49 age category (2), 50-59 age category (2), 60-69 age category (4), 70-79 age category (3) and 12 dead in the 80+ age category. All deceased patients had underlying conditions, and 21 were not vaccinated.
