As many as 67 deaths - 34 men and 33 women - in patients infected with the novel coronavirus have been reported in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 58,642, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) reported on Tuesday.
Of the 67 deaths, four were recorded in the age category 40-49 years, six in the age category 50-59 years, 12 in the age category 60-69 years, 23 in the age category 70-79 years and 22 in the age category over 80 years.
According to GCS, 65 of the recorded deaths are of patients who had comorbidities, and 2 patients did not register medical history.
Of the 67 deceased patients, 57 were unvaccinated and 10 were vaccinated. The 10 vaccinated patients who died were between the ages of 60-69 and over 80. All the vaccinated patients who died had comorbidities.
