The Minister of Justice, Alina Gorghiu, stated, on Friday, at the Targu Mures Court of Appeal, that one of her objectives is for justice to become more friendly for the business environment, through the Specialized Courts and the National Trade Registry Office (ONRC).
"I want you to know that one of the objectives that I, as Minister of Justice, have set for myself is to somehow make the justice system more friendly to the business environment as well. It is generally said, in an overwhelming proportion, about natural persons, but I believe that the Romanian state has the obligation to be a predictable public service for the economic environment in Romania as well, and the smooth development of this can be achieved through an extensive digitization process. The ministry is working intensively, we have that national electronic file, until the end of 2026, ECRIS 5 will be a project that we are finalizing, but I think that I will have to start talking in front of you and other institutions that help justice to be healthy and the business environment to be satisfied. A meeting I will have tomorrow will be with those from ONRC. I usually don't talk about them, but I will make it a good habit to talk about them too, because it is one of the most digitized institutions in Romania," the Minister of Justice said, agerpres reports.
The minister said that she was absolutely surprised to see that the procedure for setting up companies and their branches can be done exclusively and entirely online, with the ONRC, if the beneficiary wishes.
"And an example that few people know, but I tell everyone, is that if today at 4:00 p.m., for example, a person submits a complete file to the ONRC, by e-mail or through the registry, tomorrow this file is resolved and tomorrow the decision can be ready, if there is an urgent need. So we are a real partner of the business environment through ONRC, I am convinced that we will be just as friendly through the specialized courts. I am convinced that we will manage to find the best legislative solutions to keep up with these needs in Romanian society regarding the good things we do," the Minister of Justice added.
