About 115,000 people enter Romania on Tuesday, of which over 11,000 Ukrainians

The General Inspectorate of the Border Police informs that on Tuesday, 114,580 people entered Romania through the border points, of which 11,027 were Ukrainian citizens.

According to a press release sent to AGERPRES on Wednesday, approximately 269,200 people, Romanian and foreign citizens, and more than 70,700 means of transport passed through the border points throughout the country (both inbound and outbound), agerpres reports.

As of February 10, 2022 (pre-conflict period), 5,927,054 Ukrainian citizens entered Romania.

In the areas of competence - the crossing points and the "green border" - on Tuesday, the border police detected 64 illegal acts (31 crimes and 33 misdemeanors) committed by both Romanian and foreign citizens, and the value of the contravention fines applied rises at approximately 13,700 RON.

Goods were seized for confiscation in the amount of approximately 666,100 RON.

Also on Tuesday, 24 foreign citizens who did not meet the conditions provided for by law were not allowed to enter the country, and 14 Romanian citizens were also not allowed to leave for various legal reasons.
