By 8:00 AM on Sunday, 454,360 voters had cast their ballots in the first round of the presidential elections, representing 2.52% of the total number of registered voters, according to real-time data provided by the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP).
In urban areas, 346,806 voters cast their vote, while in rural areas, 107,554 voters turned out to vote.
A number 16 voters cast their vote in the mobile ballot box.
Of the 454,360 voters who voted by 8:00 AM, 223,722 voted abroad, of whom 219,495 used the supplementary lists, and 4,227 voted by mail.
