A number of 28 high schools have enrolled in the "National Programme for Systemic Piloting of Alternative Framework Pans for High Schools", expressed thus their intention to switch to curricular decentralisation, the Ministry of Education and Research informs on Friday in a press release.
"This programme represents the concretisation of a modern vision on curricular architecture, a broad process initiated by former Minister Daniel David. The approach is based on decision-making decentralisation and the principle of subsidiarity and offers schools the freedom to build a relevant educational offer, focused on competencies and connected to the future," reads the abovementioned press release.
The 28 educational units from 15 counties and Bucharest responded to the call, of which 20 are state educational units and 8 are private educational institutions.
The "National Programme for Systemic Piloting of Framework Plans for High Schools" is meant to test educational architectures that, in the future, could become the standard in Romanian education, claim the representatives of the Ministry of Education and Research.
The admitted projects will enter an assessment stage, with emphasis to be placed on legality, relevance, design and sustainability.
The final list of pilot units will be approved by ministerial order no later than March 15, 2026.
