Social inspectors from the county agencies for social payments and inspection carried out, in March, 578 unannounced inspection missions to ensure quality in the field of social services, following which they imposed fines in the amount of 541,000 lei, according to a press release from the National Agency for Social Payments and Inspection.
According to the cited source, following the controls, 50 contravention sanctions were applied, consisting of a warning or a fine, and in the case of nine social services, the suspension of activity or the withdrawal of the operating license was proposed.
At the same time, social inspectors ordered 1,142 measures to remedy the deficiencies found. The deficiencies include: failure to fully comply with the minimum mandatory quality standards; carrying out the activity without holding an operating license; lack of specialized personnel to provide the necessary therapies, depending on the particular needs of the beneficiaries; lack of daily menus or their non-approval by the nutritionist/dietitian medical assistant; work procedures not approved by the decision of the social service provider; lack of evaluation of persons benefiting from minimum inclusion income and of developing intervention plans based on the identified needs and risks.
"The manner in which the measures ordered are carried out will be monitored by social inspectors at the deadlines established during the control missions," the press release states
