Antibiotice Iasi exports increased 66% over the past five years, reaching 253 million lei in 2024, representing around 38% of the company's total turnover, the company announced in a press release sent to AGERPRES on Friday.
Between 28 and 30 October, Antibiotice Iasi participated in CPhI Worldwide 2025, the most important global event dedicated to the pharmaceutical industry, held in Frankfurt, Germany.
'The company's constant participation in CPhI Worldwide for over 20 years represents an essential element of its international expansion strategy, facilitating the development of business relationships and the identification of new opportunities in foreign markets,' the company said.
According to the source, Antibiotice Iasi has strengthened its position in foreign markets, leading to a steady increase in sales in recent years. This growth was driven by entry into new European markets (Italy, Spain, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia), as well as by maintaining a strong presence in the company's traditional markets, including the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Denmark, Vietnam, Canada and the United States.
'Antibiotice's participation in CPhI Frankfurt reaffirms our commitment to staying connected to global trends in the pharmaceutical industry and to building lasting relationships in a dynamic international context that demands rapid adaptation. The growing interest in active substances, injectable and topical products highlights the relevance of our portfolio and the potential for collaboration. We are leveraging our team's expertise to develop strategic partnerships and to turn innovation into real solutions dedicated to improving healthcare systems worldwide,' Antibiotice Iasi Director General Ioan Nani is quoted in the release as saying.
The Romanian company was represented at the event in Germany by a team of specialists with expertise in key areas such as international marketing, product development, quality, research, regulatory affairs and industrial production. In addition, at its own stand, the company held networking meetings and presentation sessions with traditional partners, collaborators and suppliers from around the world.
Antibiotice Iasi is currently carrying out major investments in research, development and new production lines for sterile topical forms and injectable solutions, projects that will contribute to diversifying its portfolio and enhancing its competitiveness in international markets.
The CPhI events, held in Europe, America and Asia, illustrate the global scale of the world's most important international gathering dedicated to the pharmaceutical industry, where leaders, manufacturers and innovators from across the globe come together to connect with the trends, innovations and opportunities shaping the future of the industry.
This year's edition of CPhI Worldwide in Frankfurt brought together more than 2,400 exhibitors and attracted over 62,000 visitors from 160 countries.
